Welcome to our website!

The Greater Fox Valley of Illinois Chapter #2042 is a social ballroom dancing Chapter serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Our group was officially established as a USA Dance, Inc. Chapter in January 1997. Our monthly dances are open to the public. You do not have to be a USA Dance member to attend. We are a nonprofit organizaton.

Over the past 11 years our Chapter has grown and continues to grow. We currently have well over 120 active members.

Our monthly dances feature a digital stereo sound system, a syllabus containing a list of songs with the recommended dance and free snacks and door prizes.

A free dance lesson begins at 7:30 pm and is included with the admission. Open dancing starts at 8:00 pm and continues for 3 hours until 11:00 pm.

Our dress code is dressy casual (no gym shoes or blue jeans) unless an announcement is made for a special or "theme dance".

Admission is $8/person for USA Dance members and $12/person for non-members.

Come Join Us At Our Next Dance!

Bring a wrapped present (with a tag stating age & boy/girl) to the Greater Fox Valley Chapter's "Holiday Charity Ball" on Saturday, December 20th and you'll bring some holiday cheer to a family at "Home of the Sparrow" Shelter (for more information please go to the Announcements page on this website). The dance will be held from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm in the Sage Gallery at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, home of the historic Dole Mansion, 401 Country Club Rd., Crystal Lake. Doors open at 7:00 pm. A free waltz lesson will be given at 7:30 pm. Open dancing will start at 8:00 pm and continue until 11:00 pm. We will have free snacks, prizes and suprises. A variety of ballroom dance music will be played by DJ Dr. Rod. The dress code is dressy casual, no gym shoes or blue jeans. Best of Ballroom Formal Dinner Dance A Success!

Our formal dinner dance held in September 2006 was a HUGE success. The location was The Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, home of the historic Dole Mansion in the Sage Gallery. We sold out our available 78 spaces and a great time was had by all. The Vito Buffalo Orchestra was featured and the sound through the sound system was just fantastic. A voucher for up to $100.00 was given away for one pair of men's and one pair of women's dance shoes to help celebrate National Ballroom Dance Week.

Chapter Dances Held At Dole Mansion

Greater Fox Valley of Illinois Chapter dances are held at the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park Sage Gallery, home of the historic Dole Mansion, 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake, Illinois, located just across the street from the Main Beach House. The Lakeside Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to promote the arts in the community.
